The ambitious project with an estimated investment of MAD 15 billion ($ 1.5 billion) will have a hub style terminal, which is due to record 20 million passengers annually.
This important development of the infrastructure is part of the Morocco’s “Airports 2030” in Morocco. strategyWhat aims to strengthen the position of the country as a strategic aviation hub for global exchange. The terminal is interpreted as a technical miracle and architectural master’s work, which represents an unprecedented infrastructure revolution in the airport sector in Morocco.

According to the model of the most important international airports such as Paris-Charles de Gaulle, London-Heathrow and Hong Kong International, this modern infrastructure aims to strengthen the intermodality of transportation and improve passengers’ experiences.
The rail connection will significantly reduce travel times between Casablanca and other strategic centers and at the same time support the growth of air traffic through relief Airport Access for both domestic and international travelers.
Comprehensive infrastructure development
The new terminal project extends over the main building over a parallel runway of 3,700 meters and 45 meters with associated roller paths and aviation infrastructure. The development will also have aircraft parking spaces and a new 42-meter high control tower.
The terminal was designed with passenger comfort and is arranged over three main levels and is integrated in the form of oases, trade zones, a large duty-free area, VIP lounges and a hotel that offers all views on the landingways.
The various components should offer travelers a completely newly invented qualitative experience and optimize mobility, comfort and hospitality. Onda has already launched the Earthworks advertisement, with additional buildings will follow in the coming months.
This iconic project strengthens the ambitions of Onda, in particular to meet the country’s new challenges, in particular the country’s new challenges in preparation For the FIFA World Cup 2030.
Architectural design, inspired by Atlantic waves
The new Casablanca terminal is designed as an architectural manifesto and is inspired by the natural forces of the Atlantic Ocean. The curved fluid lines of its architecture are reminiscent of the power and delicacy of the water movement and symbolize the balance between strength and serenity.
Embodied the terminal The vision From “Morocco, gate to the Atlantic,” says Onda, where the fluidity of shapes with the energy of the waves swings. The huge open rooms, inspired by the unlimited Atlantic horizon, reflect Morocco’s efforts to establish itself as a strategic intersection for global exchange.
The design goes beyond its role as a transport infrastructure in order to act as Morocco’s gate, a contemporary representation of Moroccan cultural identity in all its diversity.
The architecture supports shapes, colors and materials that reflect the variety of the North African country: geometric patterns of Andalusian inspiration, Amazigh-carpets from the Atlas mountains and elegant arches made of medinas in a harmonious and avant-worm vision.
Gardens play a central role in terminal design. By integrating two trees lined with trees in the form of oases within the airport, Onda intends to offer travelers an immersive, modern experience that shows the natural legacy in Morocco.
These oases offer a calming contrast to the contemporary architecture of the terminal and create a room for calm and decompression before or after the flights.
The roof that covers the terminal represents an architectural masterpiece. The pattern of the “mood” (overhanging parts) refers to the “Bejmat” with a hexagonal network covered with ocher as a homage to the traditional Moroccan architecture and a homage to the southern provinces.
This reference to Terracotta Zellige also brings a warm and inviting note with a subtle and natural texture with the contemporary architectural gesture.
