Rabat – the organization of Islamic cooperation (Oic) Formally adopted the Arab plan for the reconstruction of Gaza.
This decision was a response to US President Donald Trump’s proposal to take control of the Palestinian area and to drive away its inhabitants, with the OIC demanding international support for the plan.
The Foreign Minister of the 57 Member States of the OIC gathered on Friday in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to check the plan that had already been approved by the Arab league in Cairo at the beginning of this week.
In a statement, the OIC confirmed that it had “accepted the plan for the quick recovery and reconstruction from Gaza, emphasizes the need for global support.
The organization, which represents the Muslim world, also called for “the international community as well as regional and international financing institutions to immediately provide the necessary support for the plan.”

The OIC also approved Syria’s reintegration to the organization after being exposed to the armed forces in 2012 after the procedure of a pro-democratic uprising by the former President Bashar al-Assad.
