Doha – Novartis Pharma Maroc has appointed Yahya Abdallah as country president for his regional operations in Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria (MTA). Abdallah, based in Casablanca, will monitor the company’s strategic initiatives in these three North African markets.
According to the company, the appointment coincides with a time when Morocco carries out important reforms in the healthcare system targeted When ensuring universal access to medical services.
Abdallah brings more than 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including 14 years in Novartis, where he held various management positions.
In his latest role, Abdallah from October 2022 served as head of excellence and execution of the Levante region until he took over the rudder of his current position.
His previous positions at Novartis included Country Head for Jordan and Palestine, Franchise Manager for Immunology and Dermatology in Levant as well as various other regional management roles.

“Together we will drive a sensible transformation in the health landscape in the region, which always keep patients at the center of our mission and introduce innovations that really make a difference,” he added.
Abdallah’s career in pharmaceuticals began in 2003 at Pfizer, followed by roles at Hikma Pharmaceuticals and Ferring Pharmaceuticals before he came to Novartis in 2011.
He has an Executive Leadership Program certificate from Insead and ended in Jami’at al-Ulum WA al-tiknolojia al-Ortunia in 2003.
