Nottingham Forest is waiting for the results of brain concealing tests on Taiwo Awoniyi to determine whether the striker can compete Fulham this weekend.
Awoniyi suffered a challenge with exeter goalkeeper Joe Whitworth on Tuesday evening and was treated in the field in St. James Park for over 10 minutes before taking a stretcher.
After the game, after the 4-2 win at the fourth round in FA Cup, he appeared with his teammates to celebrate, but his availability for Saturday depends on whether the tests confirm that he has suffered a concussion.
If the results determine that he did it, he will be excluded for 12 days after the protocol and only return to Newcastle on February 23 at the earliest.
Forest Boss Nuno Espirito Santo said: “We are waiting for the approval protocols. I am not sure whether it will be available or not (for Fulham).
“He looks good. He smiled, he is in pain, but we have to be careful in these situations. The right protocols, two or three days to leave us down and we will see whether it is available. “

Hudson-Odoi will return
Forest could be available to wingers Callum Hudson-Odoi in Craven Cottage after a groin problem.
Nuno added: “He progress. He joined the group yesterday and today. He was part of the sessions and we still have tomorrow to judge him and many players because of knocking.
“I am sure (he will be in the argument to be in the squad against Fulham), but we still have to be sure that he is 100%. Let’s wait for tomorrow. “
Forest has revised sitting in the Premier League this season, three points behind the second-placed Arsenal part that the most important players keep fit, and Nuno says it is his job to find answers when injuries occur.
He said, “I don’t have to think about (injuries) if it doesn’t happen. If it happens, we have to find solutions. That is important for us.
“We have solutions when it comes to the depth of the squad. It gets better if we can all keep healthy by the end of the season and we can compete in both competitions until the end. We don’t work with ‘ifs’. The most important thing is that we have balance and a good squad. “
