Non -financial sector: increase in bank loans in December


The annual growth of bank loans in the non-financial sector (SNF), according to the last Bank-Al-Maghribrib-money bullet (BAM), reached 2.6% compared to 2.5% last November.

This slight increase reflects a slowdown of growth of loans for private companies that rose from 1.1% to 0.7%, an acceleration of credits to public non -financial companies, which from 3.2% to 7.3 % increased and almost overall stability in household loans with an increase of 1.7%.

With regard to economic objects, the development of SNF shows minor growth of cash plants, which rose from 0.4% to 0.7%. This increase is awarded to the increase in loans to non -financial public companies that rose from 21.9% to 30.9%, while the companies intended for private companies decreased 2.8% to 3.9%.

There was also an acceleration of the growth of credits for the equipment of 8.1% to 9%, in particular thanks to the increase in loans assigned to private companies, which rose by 8.6% to 10, 7%. Real estate loans have experienced a quasi-stagnation (+2.3%) as well as consumption (+1.3%).

With regard to the claims of Leiden, their increase in December 2024 decreased to 2.5% in November after 3.8% in November, and their relationship compared to the loans fell to 8.3% compared to 8.7% per month.
