Nintendo Switch 2 model revealed by Accessory Maker
A third-party gaming accessory manufacturer has created a model of this Nintendo’s next video game consoleThe Switch 2and presents features that Nintendo has not yet announced, including an optical sensor and a new controller button.
Genkiis a US-based hardware brand owned by Human Things Present products at CES 2025 in Las Vegas. The company posted a video on its website of what it claims is a replica of a Switch 2, for which it will make accessories. Genki says Nintendo will release the successor to the popular Switch portable console in April and that its new Joy-Con controllers will have several new features.
Neither Genki nor Nintendo of America immediately responded to requests for comment.
In the videoGenki said the model is based on a Switch 2 console that the company had access to and added a sign-up form on its website so customers can get more information after release.
These features include a series of magnets that can attach to the console screen instead of sliding in, an optical sensor that could allow the controller to function like a mouse, and a C key This has also been spotted on other upcoming third-party products. Nintendo has not yet officially announced the new console or the new controller features included in it.
Speculation about Nintendo’s next console has been rife for several years. The new controller information has led to suggestions that the optical sensor in the rumored new Joy-Con could be used in games like a computer mouse, a feature of the Game manufacturer used during Super Nintendo times. As for them C key, it could stand for “camera” or “chat”. or simply be a random letter assigned to another console function.
