The Business, Social and Environment Council (EESC) in Tanger in the development of a national roadmap that integrates the approach of water consumption of the-systeme cosystems for water supply has referred to in Tangier to optimize management of natural resources.
The Secretary General of the EESC, Younes Benakki, underlined in the “Nexus Wefe” forum and underlined the need for intersectoral coordination by creating a central and regional surveillance mechanism and strengthening the regulatory framework.
The EESC also recommends that financed projects, especially in the public-private partnership, integrate this approach and that international financing inquiries promote the principles of Nexus.
The adoption of this strategy is of essential importance for coping with environmental and economic challenges, said Benakki and emphasized the example of the Casablanca relaxation station, which combines water security, renewable energies and preservation of ecosystems.
The forum, which was placed under the high patronage of SM King Mohammed VI, brought together experts and decisions in order to meet the challenges of climate change, the lack of resources and energy transition.
