The problem with the algorithmic recommendations from Netflix is that it creates an entertainment echo chamber in which the taste of the spectators is challenged instead of. At the moment there is probably a TV series that will be shallowed in Netflix ‘back catalog that would knock it around if you only knew about it. But it’s probably not in English.
Netflix has a huge catalog of excellent foreign language shows, so many that finding a starting place can be discouraging. As an expert from Lifehacker for “What’s good on TV”, I have put together a list of the best Netflix series of the best “not in English” Netflix series, which is listed in the order of Rotten Tomatoes Review Aggregation Score. If you can deal with subtitles, you will find your new favorite show somewhere below.
Marianne (France, 2019)
I start this list with MarianneMaybe my favorite TV show ever. I love horror, but I saw so much that I rarely be more frightened by anything. French series MarianneBut legitimate crawled me. A deeply disturbing series about a horror author whose nightmares come true, Marianne Carefully built an atmosphere of fear, which sometimes suffocates practically, and then releases the print valve with cruel, Grand Guignol offset at the right time. It’s horror for adults and it is Really Good.

K-drama Exceptional lawyer Woo is a legal show like no other. Park Eun-Bin plays the title character Woo Young-Woo, a woman with autism that has made herself a legal savant by apparently learning all the laws by heart. Exceptional lawyer Woo‘S -heroine is a fully equipped figure – a woman who has autism does not “personally” autism – and the show is also about the different cases that she tries every week as she navigates in a world, that she doesn’t fit in.
Leaf (Spain, 2017)
This brilliant, stylish crime thriller begins with a serious influence of Tarantino, but it is a bait and switch. Leaf‘S outsiders are cool, but they are not bad anti-heroes. They are complicated, contradictory, damaged people who make bad decisions for good reasons and for bad decisions. Your bold plan to rob the national coin of billions of euros in Spain Eleven of oceans First Lark, but it will soon be revealed as a desperate criminal action that blows into the air and turns further outside of control when everyone has predicted.

The chestnut man (Denmark, 2021)
In the worst case, “Nordic Noir” transplanted tired police tropics to Northern European countries, and they have NCIs with Parkas. At best, Nordic Noir is like The chestnut manA gruesome, dark series that combines serial killing, political corruption and old, unspeakable pagan rituals into something unique, clichés and perfect things for binging. If you like the mood of the first season of True detectiveCheckout The chestnut man.

Kassandra (Germany, 2025)
Only the premise of this German science fiction series should be enough for most people to see them. In KassandraA typical suburban family moves into a remote house that was built in the 1980s and should be the “home of the future”. The massive old computers in the basement are still working and the dusty household robot still clings around, but something is very Wrong with this house. If you are like me and feel like you are haunted by the past and computers, Kassandra Becomes deep.

Delicious in the dungeon (Japan, 2024)
Together with the traditional series of abroad, there is also a lot of anime on Netflix; Enough that the specialized genre earns a separate list (staying on). I put Delicious in the dungeon Here to represent all anime, and because I really like it. It is a good cartoon at the entry level, a fantasy series that is influenced by dungeons and dragons, video games and food, in which a group of fearless adventurers eat by a dungeon packed by Monster to save their friend. It is a strange combination, but it is held together by well -drawn characters, beautiful art and tradition that are as rich as Spanish.

Dear child (Germany, 2023)
I went inside Dear child Cold, without knowing anything about it, and the first few episodes are so mysterious and terrible that I was not sure whether it was going into a dark science fiction direction or whether it was more of a supernatural horror show. It turns out that it is not one. Dear child Is a thriller based on real life, and his carefully driven, visually breathtaking representation of captivity, torture and brainwashing is much more frightening than all invented monsters. Germans really have a unique understanding of how authoritarian control worsens the human soul. Go figure.

Squid game (Korea, 2021)
You cannot create a list of the best foreign shows from Netflix and do not record Korean sensation Squid game. I defy everyone who looks at the first episode of this show and does not continue. In a dystopia near the funding, in which the rich people are convincing to convince the ordinary people in deadly versions of children’s games. Squid game Offers great comments on the corruption of culture through capitalism and somehow fun to observe at the same time. It is brutal, addicted, fearless, dark funny and wildly original. Squid game Definitely deserves his almost universal approval Among critics and spectators.
Kleoo (Germany, 2022)
This stylish, action-packed period thriller takes place in the days after the fall of the Berlin Wall. Jella Haase plays the title character, a imprisoned Stasi agent with an unusual ability, which also includes the poison from a bullet fish and the kicking of serious ass. With the Cold War, Kleo is released with all other political prisoners and sits on revenge on the spooks and government officials who have ruined their lives. We are all dead (Korea, 2022)
Introduce The breakfast club, parasite, And Train to Busan Had a three-way baby and you have an idea of what We are all dead is how. This Korean zombie epic is located on the Hyosan High School, where courses (and romance in teenage, popularity jockey, bullying, shenanigans, etc.) are briefly interrupted by an invasion of faster, fatal zombies. We are all dead Hits all undead invasion notes Perfect-is brutal, violent and action-packed-but it stands out from the package by talking to characters that you are interested in, talking about the dead area, like the later seasons of The changing dead.
How to sell drugs online (fast) (Germany, 2019)
Looses based on a true story, How to sell drugs online (fast) tells the story of Moritz Zimmerman, a high school nerd who dreams of becoming a tech mogul and one day to keep it to the popular children. As the title says, Moritz (almost) sells his social group, but creates exponentially exponentially exponential dangers in the form of police officers, drug dealers and other crime-show complications. Fast, funny and addicted, How to sell drugs online (fast) is perfect binge TV. There are no rotting tomatoes points, but trust me.

The taste of the taste (Belgium, 2017)
Intensive Belgian mind-fuck The taste of the taste is seen criminal – it doesn’t have enough online reviews to have one at all Rotten tomato rating– but it is great. The main character Kai lost her memory after a car accident. She lives in an eternal, confusing gift in which her mind seems to fill the gaps of her life with terrible hallucinations. Or maybe your house will be hit. Or maybe she is a murderer who murdered a young man, as the police think. Maybe she puts someone else on something. Maybe none of it is real. The taste of the taste“What happens anyway?” The plot stays through the last turn and its grotesque pictures are fascinating. This is a real hidden jewel.
