Morocco and Switzerland will strengthen their cooperation in the field of intellectual ownership. The project entitled “Swiss Partnership Marocco” was officially launched on Friday, February 14, 2025, on Friday 2025 in the headquarters of the Moroccan Industrial and Commercial real estate (OMPIC) in Casablanca.
With an envelope of 17.2 million DH, this project covers a period of four years. In the presence of Ryad Mezzour, Minister of Industry and Trade, Valentin Zellweger, Swiss Ambassador in Morocco, Abdelaziz Babqiqi, CEO of the Impic, Dalal Mhamdi Alaoui, CEO of Moroccan Rights and Natural Hirsig, representative of the Swiss Seat Institute of Intellectual property (IPI) and several important actors in intellectual property.
This project aims to strengthen and energetize the system of intellectual property in Morocco by promoting the innovation and competitiveness of Moroccan creators and guarantees you better protection of your intangible assets in national and international markets, which IMPIC underlines. The funding comes from the state secretariat for the Swiss economy (Seco), while IPI will ensure its implementation in close cooperation with the Impic, the main partner of the program, as well as other actors in the systems of intellectual and industrial property for systems as partners and beneficiaries this program.
The axes of cooperation are the legal framework for intellectual and industrial property; The services for the protection and use of intellectual and industrial property rights, the promotion of this field among various users; and the application of intellectual and industrial property rights.
