Moroccan national coach Walid Regragui deals with a number of injuries when he prepares his last list of squad for the upcoming qualification games against Niger and Tanzania.
According to Sources, Regrarui received a comprehensive medical report from Team Doctor Christophe Baudot, in which the status of several key players who have recently suffered injuries have described.
Among those affected are Olympiacos striker Ayoub El Kaabi together with the crystal palace defender Chadi Riad. Nayef Aguerd, who plays for Real Sociedad, recently recovered from a muscle injury and introduced himself to Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey. Al Sadd Defender Romain Saïss is excluded after an operation, which does not make it available for the Morocco training camp in March.
In addition, Manchester United full -back Mazraoui has to struggle with fitness problems, while Al Ahlys Yahia Attiyat Allah recently returned to complete training after a long absence.
Upcoming games and group classification
Morocco will play on March 17th and Tanzania on March 24th in the Stade d’Unneur in Oujda. Although the Atlas Lions stay in a strong position, Group E leads with nine points to secure a place at the FIFA World Cup 2026.
