Morocco: More than 4 million cases were processed by the courts in 2024
According to Mohamed Abdennabaoui, First President of the Court of Cassation, Moroccan courts processed 4,466,727 cases in 2024, representing 103% of registered cases and 88.5% of ongoing cases.
At the beginning of the 2025 judicial year, he stated that the total number of pending cases reached 5,052,086, a decrease of 142,760 pending cases. The Court of Cassation also decided on 52,904 cases, exceeding the previous year’s record number.
In addition, the Supreme Council of the Judiciary focuses on the digital transformation of the justice system and the moralization of the judiciary.
In 2024, he completed the first phase of a strategic plan to structure the judges’ association landscape. The opening ceremony also included the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the Supreme Judicial Council of Belgium and the awarding of several judges.
