The supervisory authorities weighed price inquiries from pharmaceutical companies before approval of the new prices.
The move Applies to original medication as well as generic and biosimilar drugs that are available in Morocco.
The ministry aims to make treatments necessary for patients who are more accessible to serious illnesses.
Among the medication affected by the revision, all 5 mg has dropped to MAD 11,832 (1,185 USD) for a box with 30 tablets.
CEFICO 200 mg, an antibiotic, also recorded a price reduction of MAD 91.50 (9.15 USD) on MAD 88.90 ($ 8.90) for a box with eight tablets.
The decision is part of an expansive program to strengthen the Moroccan health system and the reduction in economic stress for patients who need long medical treatment.
