The exciting journey of the Moroccan national team in the “Kings League” Cup, currently being played in Italy, ended on Friday evening in Milan with a 1-2 defeat against Colombia in the semi-finals.

Morocco took an early lead through the tournament’s top scorer in the third minute, but Colombia responded quickly with two goals – one in the seventh minute and another in the 19th minute.

A possible equalizer by the Moroccan midfielder was disallowed after a VAR review, resulting in the game being decided in Colombia’s favor.

The victory secured Colombia’s place in the final, where they will face the winner of the Brazil-Mexico game.

Morocco, which relies on a squad of experienced players, had previously beaten the USA in the quarter-finals after defeating Japan and Ukraine in earlier rounds.

The Kings League consists of seven players per team, including a goalkeeper, and uses an innovative format with two 20-minute halves and unlimited substitutions.
