Work on the welcome Travel Group Network contract was started in Bouznika on the initiative of the Moroccan Tourist Office (OnMT) this Saturday. The event combines a large delegation of Italian towers together with Moroccan officials with the aim of strengthening the tourist exchange between the two countries.
The General Director of OnMT, Achraf Fayda, emphasized the growth potential with Italy and found that “less than a million Italian visitors were welcomed in 2024, half of which is of MRE”. It aims to multiply this number by two, three or even four by focusing on the curiosity of Italian tourists for new destinations.
The Moroccan government intends to support this dynamic through a huge public investment plan of more than one billion euros over ten years, especially in the six cities of the World Cup 2030. Royal Air Maroc in turn plans to double its fleet and strengthen the connections to Italy, with new lines to Milan, Rome and Bologna.
The convention was also characterized by interventions by experts from sector and Costa Cruises, which unveiled new offers for travelers. This initiative is part of the Morocco strategy, which aims to diversify their outstanding markets in southern Europe and consolidate its essential target in the Mediterranean.
