Morocco: growth of 3.6% in 2025 according to the BM

Morocco’s economic growth is expected to accelerate by 3.6% in 2025 and 3.5% in 2026, Javier Diaz Cassou, Senior Economist (BM) in Morocco on Wednesday in Rabat.

This announcement was made during a round discussion table about the conclusions of the new report for the economic situation in Morocco of the BM with the title “Priorifying reforms to improve the business climate”.

Diaz Cassou emphasized that these are relatively robust growth levels, which are, however, online that were observed before pandemic.

In detail, the growth of agricultural GDP in 2025 should be relatively solid due to much cheaper climatic conditions than in the previous year, and found that agricultural GDP should converge around 2.6%in the direction of growth in the medium term.

On the other hand, the economist emphasized that the growth of the non -agricultural GDP in 2025 should take a minor delay, which was explained in particular by a basic effect: the sectors, which in 2024 have strong growth in 2024, continue to grow in a robust way, but with a rate that is somewhat lower than the previous year.
