The French European Minister of Europe, who was responsible for Europe, Benjamin Haddad, pleaded on Tuesday in Meknes for strengthening the exchange of experiences and the transfer of agricultural know-how between Morocco and France during a high-ranking conference as part of SIAM 2025.
Haddad emphasized the urgency of cooperation in the face of climate challenges, food sovereignty and the preservation of resources and called for technical cooperation through innovative solutions that are adapted to local realities.
He praised the election of France as a guest of honor of this edition of the show 17ᵉ and saw the reflection of a strategic and solid partnership with the kingdom. He also expressed the ambition to make the French Moroccan partnership a lever for the entire Mediterranean.
The Italian counterpart, Francesco Lollobrigida, has highlighted the need for a balanced cooperation between Europe and Africa in agricultural and climatic questions, in particular bilateral initiatives between Italy and Morocco in the water.
