Morocco was appointed to welcome the sixth world conference to eliminate child labor, which is planned for 2026. This decision made by the acclamation of the members of the Board of Directors of the International Labor Organization (IAO) is an important phase because the kingdom is the first Arab country to organize this world event.
The conference planned for the second quarter of 2026 is intended to assess the progress in the fight against child labor and define the measures taken after 2025 that are determined by the sustainable development goals. It will also make it possible to discuss the strategies and guidelines that can exterminate to exterminate these scourge on a global level.
This event will be an opportunity to strengthen the commitment of the federal states, to intensify measures against child labor, to promote the exchange of good practices and to support global initiatives in matters of social justice and fundamental rights.
