Moroccan police arrest the Swedish nationals of South American origin in the international arrest warrant
Rabat – police officer of Tanger Med Port District On Saturday, a Swedish citizen of South American origin arrested on Saturday, subject to an international arrest warrant, which was issued by the Swedish court authorities because of his alleged participation in an international drug trade.
The 40-year-old suspect was arrested when he tried to leave the Moroccan territory on board a ship for a Spanish port, and added that a review of the Interpol database confirmed that the person was the subject of a “red note” application issued by Swedish judicial authorities.
The suspect is said to be associated with a case of international trade in a cocaine program in Sweden in 2023, added the same source.
The person was taken into custody until the delivery process, while the Swedish judicial authorities were officially informed about the arrest that was waiting for the transfer of the delivery file, added the same source.
This operation is part of the ongoing international security cooperation and the continuing efforts of the Moroccan law enforcement authorities in the persecution of people who are looking for globally for transnational crimes.
