Rabat – Lieutenant General Mohamed Berrid, General Inspector of the Royal Armed Forces and Commander of the Southern Zone, is an official visit to Saudi Arabia from March 16 to 21, according to King Mohammed VI.
The visit aims to strengthen the military Cooperation Between Morocco and Saudi Arabia, including improving bilateral defense relationships, the discussion of security challenges and researching the possibilities for deepening the cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
After a statement by the Royal Armed Forces General Staff (far), Lieutenant General Berrid gave a meeting with General Fayadh bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, head of the general staff of the Saudi armed forces.
The discussions focused on strengthening the military Cooperation Between Morocco and Saudi Arabia under the leadership of their respective heads of state.
Both officials praised the strong relationships and the successful cooperation between the armed forces of the two countries. They remembered the positive results of their cooperation and confirmed their commitment to further deepen their partnership in defense and security.
During his visit, Lieutenant General Berrid also toured through the headquarters of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition, where he was informed about his missions, coordination strategies and collaborative efforts among the member states in combating terrorism and extremism to improve regional security and stability.
The explanation came to the conclusion that the visit corresponds to the continuous efforts to strengthen Moroccan military relationships and to research new ways for cooperation with common security concerns.
