Rabat-Elias al-Mahiawi, a Moroccan Koran reciter, received recognition at the first VAE competition in the Koran in Abu Dhabi.
The ceremony honored some of the best recities in the world for their commitment to Koranian memorizing and reciting.
The competition, which was organized by the general authority of the United Arab Emirates for Islamic affairs, foundations and zakat, brought together the highest participants from international corporate competitions.
Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and chairman of the Executive Council of the Abu Dhabi, presented the Awards.
The performance of al-Mahiawi sets him to an elite group of re-tremors who were recognized in 2024 for their excellence.
Other Honores were in Sheikha alia bint saeed bin Maktoum bin Rashid al Maktoum, Rashid Ali Kharal bin Khalaf al-Naqbi from the VAE, Laith bin ishaq al-Kindi and Mohammed bin Ishaq al-Kindi from the Oman, Mohammed Adnan al-Lomari and Mohammed Samir Mujahid, Bahrain, Mahmoud Ali Atiya Habib from Egypt, Akah Oud Beytat from Mauritania, met Mohammi Sami from Palestine and Fatima Loun Abubakar from Nigeria.
In the local category, the winners of Suhaib Ali Mohammed Dawood Abdullah, Omar Mohammed Ali al-Kabouri al-naqbi, Omar Muammar Ali Ahmed Banbila and Aisha Ali Mohammed al-Ajla al-Ali from the UAE from others.
The recognition of al-Mahiawi indicates the strong presence of Morocco in international corporate competitions.
With a rich tradition of Koranic science, the country continues to produce respected reciters, the skills and dedication of which they earn places in the best in the world.
