Mohamed Benaïssa, former foreign minister, died on Friday evening at the age of 88.
After completing his secondary studies in Cairo, he practiced the profession of journalist on the radio “Africa of Morocco” in Tangier. Throughout his career, he had large positions, in particular that of the Foreign Minister from 1999 to 2007, between 1993 and 1999 in the United States and from 1985 to 1992.
He was also sitting in the House of Councils and was President of the municipal council of Assilah. As a great cultural lover, he played an important role in the cultural moussem of Assilah, which has become an essential place for intellectuals, experts and artists from all over the world.
