CSV or Comma separated values are files used for all types of things, from the management of large data records for exporting data to move them between web services.
You may think that CSV files are only spreadsheet, similar to Excel files, but it is much more interesting than that: Open each CSV file in a text document and you will find out that the “commas” is literally. Really, these files are just text documents – a line interruption is a line in the table, and columns are the elements in every line that are all separated from commas.
There is nothing that prevents them from editing the values in their text editor of their choice, but this would be extremely annoying. And while you can import CSV files into Excel and work with you, it can become confusing -you have to keep an overview of the Excel functions in CSV files and which not. If you have to work in a CSV file, it is best to have a special tool.
ModerncsvAn indie app for Linux, Mac and Windows Computer is the best tool that I came across for this purpose. If you often have to work with CSV files or only have to edit one quickly, it is worth checking it.
This application is created specifically with the CSV files and makes working with you easier. Example: You can double -click on the column number to re -order all elements in the list based on this line. To test it, I downloaded a CSV that dismantled all US lands to the population. The original file was organized by the population; By double-clicking on the State ID column, I was able to sort quickly by state. After saving, the CSV itself was changed.

That is just an example. It also offers complete find and replace, which is perfect for cleaning damaged files. It supports the filtering and allows you to edit several cells at the same time: Simply select all the cells that you edit and start with the type.
There is even a command strip that is triggered with the keyboard linking CLTR/CMD-L. In this way, you can quickly use one of the commands offered by the application without learning the dedicated keyboard link. Simply enter what you want to do and click Enter.

The app also offers support for fast Pivot tables that help to offer a better insight into the data. A typical example: I was able to use my information about USland circles to extrapolate the US state populations.

Free or paid versions
ModerncSV offers a free version that contains many of the functions described above. There are two paid versions: Premium -Personal for 39 US dollars -Admission functions such as filtering and date conversion -and premium business for 59 US dollars that offer Pivot tables and other extended reporting functions.
I think it is worth the free version to be available for everyone who occasionally have to edit CSV files, while the paid versions are great if they are a power user.
