Ministry of Education, ONDH partner of the pioneering institutions


Rabat – The Ministry of National Education signed a partnership agreement in Rabat in cooperation with the National Observatory for Human Development (ONDH) to support the “Pioneer Institutions” initiative.

This agreement aims to facilitate the process of awarding the “.”Pioneering institutions“Label for the school year 2024-2025 and is applied to the educational institutions in question.

Minister Mohamed Saad Berraada and ONDH President Otmane Gair took part in the signing ceremony. The event was a considerable step in the commitment of the ministry for the guarantee of integrative, fair and high -quality education. In a press release, both institutions emphasized that this obligation corresponds to the constitution, law 51.17 and the strategic vision 2015-2030.

According to the provisions of the agreement, the ONDH will support the ministry by collecting and analyzing relevant data that are made available to the committee for classification of the participating institutions.

In the initiative, 2,000 primary schools, 512 attachments and 232 middle schools are involved, all of which are involved in the “Pioneer Institutions” project.

Minister Barrada argued that the allocation of this label at institutions that meet the necessary criteria aims to ensure quality in teaching, learning, management and administration. The initiative also tries to improve the school environment, improve the mastery of their studies of the students, to promote the commitment of the students and reduce school dropouts.

These efforts are part of the implementation of the Roadmap 2022-2026, which aims to build a new model for educational institutions based on quality, excellence and innovation.

The government has repeated its commitment to expand Pioneer schools by 2028, an important initiative in the country’s educational reforms, which aimed to improve the quality of national education, according to the spokesman for the Mustapha Baitas government.

The program introduced in 2024 has already made remarkable progress, integrated around 626 public schools and benefited almost 323,000 students.

With increasing initiative, it is expected to be extended to 2,000 institutions by 2025 and around 30% of elementary school students or around 1.3 million children.
