Military transport plane crashes in Colombia, 121 people on board, dozens dead

A military transport plane carrying 121 people, mostly soldiers, crashed shortly after takeoff from Puerto Leguizamo, Colombia, on Monday, killing at least 66 people and injuring 81, according to authorities. The injured were treated at the scene before being airlifted, while the bodies of the victims were taken to the city mortuary, officials added.
