The Moroccan government increases its efforts to combat measles, said Mustapha Baitas, Minister who are responsible for relationships with parliament and the government spokesman. A surveillance system was set up in the emergency center for public health and 12 provincial health center centers.
The national vaccine -catch -up against measles campaign and other diseases, launched on October 28, 2024. A large communication campaign is aimed at parents, teachers, relatives and authorities for health professions and authorities in order to raise awareness of the importance of vaccination.
The government coordinates with the Ministry of Education and the interior in order to verify the children’s vaccination and vaccinate people in contact with patients. He calls for a collective mobilization of citizens, associations and companies to strengthen the fight against this disease.
Mustapha Baitas also asked the media and actors of civil society to counter incorrect information about vaccines, and emphasized their key role in the awareness and success of this national campaign.
