Rihanna left Mariah Careys latest concert with more than just a t-shirt.
The “Lift Me Up” singer attended Carey’s final performance Mariah Carey’s Christmastime tour at the Barclays Center in New York City on Tuesday, December 17, and got her chest autographed by the headliner.
“I need a signature. Who has a Sharpie? Sign my tits!” Rihanna, 36, can be heard telling Carey, 55, as she wades through the crowd in a video circulating on social media.
Carey then wrote her first name on Rihanna’s chest with a red marker. The Bajan singer took Carey’s microphone and told the audience, “Mariah Carey is signing my tit, y’all!” This is fucking epic!” Rihanna then presented her precious new autograph in front of the camera and the two stars hugged.
Tuesday’s final performance marked Carey’s return to the stage after coming down with the flu earlier this month. Carey was forced to cancel her Dec. 11 concert in Pittsburgh, just hours before she was scheduled to take the stage at PPG Paints Arena.
“Pittsburgh, I’m sorry to say I have the flu. It breaks my heart that I unfortunately have to cancel today’s show. I love you all so much,” she wrote in a message X.
Two days later, Carey canceled two more shows scheduled for Friday, December 13, and Sunday, December 15, in Newark, New Jersey, and Belmont Park, New York. “Newark and Belmont – I wish I had better news, but unfortunately I’m still sick and have to cancel the shows tonight and Sunday. I am truly devastated by this and appreciate your support. Love, MC,” she shared via X.
But on Monday, December 16th, the star confirmed She would perform at the Barclays Center on Tuesday. “Lambs, thank you for making my #Christmastime so special ❤️ I loved singing with you every night and I can’t wait to see you all in Brooklyn tomorrow for the last show of the tour,” she wrote via Instagram.
The Christmas Queen also celebrates her classic holiday anthem “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” which spent 16 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the US charts billboard Hot 100, 30 years after its original release. The song follows on from another of Carey’s hits, “One Sweet Day,” which featured Boyz II Men and which spent 16 weeks in the No. 1 spot between 1995 and 1996.
