Note: The card shows the area with a shake intensity of 4 or more, which defines USGs as “light”, although the earthquake outside the areas shown can be felt. The New York Times
According to the United States Geological Survey, which corresponds to a strong earthquake in Afghanistan on Sunday in Afghanistan.
The Temblor occurred at 11:47 p.m. in Afghanistan about 22 miles north of Bāsawul, Afghanistan, data from the agency.
If seismologists check the available data, you can revise the registered size of the earthquake. Additional information about the earthquake can also cause USGS scientists to update the Shake Severity card.
Aftersonation in the region
A wicking is usually a smaller earthquake that follows a larger one in the same general area. Aftershocks are usually minor adjustments along the part of an error that slipped at the time of the initial earthquake.
Doning and wicking within 100 miles
Aftershear can occur days, weeks or even years after the first earthquake. These events can be the same or larger as the initial earthquake and you can still influence damaged locations.

If Aftershock data are available, the corresponding cards and diagrams contain earthquakes within 100 miles and seven days after the initial quake. All times above are Afghanistan. Shake data will take place on Sunday, August 31 at 3:35 p.m. Afterwards, post -dates will take place on Monday, September 1st at 2:48 a.m.
