Manchester United will update the supporters on Tuesday via a proposed stadium project after co -owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe repeated his wish for a new Old Trafford.
United has investigated whether your existing venue in conjunction with the Task Force of the Old Trafford Regeneration should be rebuilt or built a new stadium in the same area.
Lord Sebastian Coe managed the Task Force and is expected to speak to a stadium project update in London together with Ratcliffe at a stadium project.
Ratcliffe said Gary Neville in the overlap podcast: “If you have the view that it is the largest football club in the world, it should be a new stadium that corresponds to the world’s largest club.
“And also a stadium that corresponds to the largest league in the world because the Premier League is the largest league in the world.
“And when you look at the Premier League, we have some great stadiums, but we don’t have Bernabeu, right? And we don’t have the new NOU camp. We don’t have that in the Premier League, although it is the largest league in the world.
“And when you look at the north of England, the north of England won 10 Champions League final and won London. There are therefore some reasons to have the world’s most famous football stadium in northern England in the largest club in the world.”
According to Ratcliffe, “United does not need government funding for a new stadium, but emphasized that it must be part of a project supported by the government to regenerate the area around Old Trafford.
