“When we played Liverpool eight years ago, Anfield had a capacity of just over 50,000 – we deserved about £ 700,000.
“I think we should make a little better this time. I think Etihad has a capacity of around 62,000, so we believe that it should be between 600,000 and 1 million GBP somewhere.
“However, it will not mean as much as playing Liverpool.
“When we played Liverpool eight years ago, £ 700,000 made about a third of our football budget, but today our football budget is a lot of multiple what it was then, so that it was not so important.
“Much more important than the money – and the money will be nice – is that it will be a great day for at least 15,000 of our fans.”
