Managem and Barrick Gold have completed a strategic partnership for the development of gold exploration in Senegal in the permits Daorala, Nouumoukha and Faraba, which cover an area of 820 km² in a geologically affordable area.
Barrick undertakes to invest 7.5 million US dollars in the first two years, then between the third and seventh year 15 million US dollars to validate a potential of at least 2 million ounces of gold.
This agreement, subject to the approval of the Senegalese Ministry of Minen, aims to inspire the development of permits and to attract more mining investments in the country.
