Rabat – President of Palestinian Authority (PA) Mahmoud Abbas is currently On his first visit to Syria since the case of Bashar Assad’s regime in December.
In an explanation that was shared by his top adjutant, Hussein al-Heikh, was confirmed that Abbas traveled to Jordan on Thursday evening before traveling to Syria.
Samir Al-Rifai, Palestine Ambassador in Damascus, also confirmed a visit to a telephone interview with the Anadolu agency. He explained that the visit is an official in which Abbas will meet his Syrian counterpart Ahmad al-Sharaa in the capital Damascus before returning. Further details on what the visit brings with it still have to be disclosed.
Abbas had previously met Al-Sharaa on the edge of the Arab Summit in Cairo last March, while in January a Palestinian delegation led by Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa also visited Syria for discussions with al-Sharaa.
