Newcastle reached its second Carabao Cup final in three years after a 2-0 victory over Arsenal in the semifinals achieved a whopping 4-0 victory for total value.
Jacob Murphy and Anthony Gordon scored the goals of the Magpies in St. James’ Park on the night and added Gordon and Alexander Isak’s strikes in a dominant performance over two legs against Mikel Aretetas men.
After Murphy had excluded an early ISAK goal for the offside, he stepped in after only 16 minutes to send Tyneside into raptures before Gordon added another in a convenient night, since the toothless canoners did not put a glove.
The team of Eddie Howe will either compete against Liverpool or Tottenham in the Wembley final on March 16. Spurs is currently heading Liverpool 1-0 before the second leg on Thursday in Angeld.
Newcastle against Arsenal
The draw was almost over four minutes when Alexander Isak Anthony Gordon’s round ended, but after a Var check, the gate was excluded for the offside.

Three goals down as a whole, but Arsenal looked anything but down and out and Leandro Trossard forced Martin Dubravka a clever rescue when the North Londoners wanted to put pressure on.
The Gunners pushed further on a crucial goal before the break, but it was Gordon who went closest during the break before the referee blew the pipe and was a lot of spread before another shot was blocked.
Newcastle dominates toothless arsenal
Newcastle continued the visitors and could easily have found a second when Gordon selected Saliba’s bag with Raya in No Man’s Land, but the long-term efforts of the England striker rolled just a little too wide.
Once again, Arsenal did not learn her lesson when Fabian Schars High Press fell in the way of Gordon, who started on Raya to set the Toon Four, and allowed the Geordie believers to book their tickets to Wembley.

Arsenal still saw most of the ball, but did not make any clear chances. Setpieces were again their greatest threat, but Newcastle was largely able to deal with them conveniently.
When they finally made a connection from a corner in the last minute of the normal time, Myles Lewis-Skelly went with the goal, which rattled after a Miss that intensified Arsenal’s miserable night.
