The tax revenues of the local authorities amounted to 43.4 billion icalo at the end of December 2024 and marked an increase of 21.1% compared to the previous year, as the general cash of the Kingdom (TGR) emerged.
This increase is awarded to growth of 23.1% of direct taxes and 19.5% of indirect taxes, whereby tax revenue corresponds to 81.8% of the total income of municipalities.
The transferred resources also rose by 13.5%and, due to a better share of the municipalities in the VAT product and others, reached 32.2 billion DH. The resources managed by the state for municipalities were quantified with 10.3 billion DH or 26.4 % more, while those who were managed directly by the municipalities reached 10.554 billion icalo.
Finally, the distribution of resources on an increase in the share managed by the state, accompanied by a decline in the resources managed by the municipalities and the transmitted resources.
