Lineups will be announced when City host the Class of ’92 League Two side
Manchester City hosts second-placed Salford City in the third round of the FA Cup. Pep Guardiola’s side will want to continue their promising recent form and avoid a huge upset.
The Premier League champions have started the new year strong, picking up two straight wins after winning just one of 13 games in all competitions.
It will also give Guardiola a rare opportunity to shuffle the relatively small squad currently available to him and give some of the younger members of his team a chance.
Salford are now in third place in the fourth tier of English football. And while the hosts will be clear favorites to progress, a club whose co-owners are members of Manchester United’s ‘Class of ’92’ making the short trip to the Etihad will add further spice to the occasion.
Read on to see how both teams line up.

Nathan Ake and Savinho are the only two players to retain their place in the City team since the Premier League win over West Ham as Guardiola, perhaps unsurprisingly, makes nine changes.
20-year-old Divin Mubama, who joined from the Hammers in the summer, makes his senior debut, while Ederson, Jack Grealish and Ilkay Gundogan are also in the starting XI.
