Lauren Price could become the Oleksandr Usyk of the women’s boxing, suggests coach Rob Mccracken.
Like Usyk, price is an Olympic gold medalist. As an international amateur like Usyk, she also won European and global gold medals.
Another south paw that moves out of the world weight to win the Olympic Games and a variety of other awards in the middleweight shows that the price has the ability to rise through the divisions.
The world champion Usyk is the full example of this after being undisputed as a professional fighter both in both the cruiser and heavyweight.
Price is only in the early phases of her own professional career, but it is already the WBA list list of the world weight and its goal of becoming the undisputed champion with £ 147 before the end of this year.
The first important step towards this goal takes place on Friday when Price fights Natasha Jonas in an association for the WBA, IBF and WBC title in the Royal Albert Hall, continued live Sky Sport.
Could she be the Oleksandr Usyk of the women’s boxing? “Potential, possibly yes,” said coach Rob Mccracken Sky Sport.
Mccracken is a very experienced trainer. He led Carl Froch and Anthony Joshua to the top of the professional sport and, as a performance director, had an unprecedented Olympic success.
He said of Price: “So potentially (the usyk of the women’s boxing). A little bit more work! But a long career in front of her to achieve this.
“She is a great talent. She has proven that she won everything all over the world as an amateur boxer, not only in the UK.
“She won every tournament, worlds, Europeans, Olympic Games, everything. She is a real talent. A lot of work to do ahead. A really good boxer.
“Confident, it is also talented by nature. It has real skills, real skills and also physically.”
Watch Natasha Jonas Lauren Price in Royal Albert Hall Live continues Sky Sport On Friday, March 7th.
