Kelly Stafford takes kids to hospital as husband Matt heads to playoffs
Kelly Stafford took an unfortunate trip to the hospital with her children after traveling with her husband Matthew Stafford before the Rams-Vikings playoff game.
“Last night was long,” Kelly, 35, wrote via Instagram story on Saturday, Jan. 11, alongside a photo of two of her young children sleeping in a hospital bed. “Back in the beds and sleep, everyone except Hunter. It feels like she drank a Celsius.”
In another post, she shared a photo about Instagram story by Matthew, 36, quarterback of the Los Angeles Rams, and their daughters. “Earlier, they were all smiles as they accompanied Dad on his business trip,” she wrote.
Last week, Kelly revealed that she and two of her daughters had contracted it a serious illness. “I can’t think straight,” Kelly said on the Tuesday, January 7, episode of her “Morning After” podcast. “I currently think I have the flu. Two of my daughters have the flu.”
Kelly and Matthew share four daughters: twins Sawyer and Chandler, 7, Hunter, 6, and Tyler, 4. Kelly did not share why exactly the children were taken to the hospital or whether they will be present at the Rams vs. Vikings playoff game.
The family had traveled to watch Matthew practice before the Rams’ playoff game against the Minnesota Vikings in Glendale, Arizona, scheduled for Monday, January 13th. The Rams’ home playoff game was moved from Los Angeles to Glendale because of wildfires raging in southern California.
Kelly’s hospitalization followed her offered to rent charter buses for season ticket holders in Los Angeles traveling to Glendale for the game.
In a press conference on Thursday, January 9, Matthew addressed the devastation caused by the wildfires and the natural disaster’s impact on his community.
“It’s a difficult thing to watch on the news, to be around and to see,” he told reporters. “When I drive around and see all this, it’s just really sad to see what’s going on. Obviously a lot of people are doing everything they can to get things under control and get back to normal as quickly as possible.”
Matthew continued, “Every time we dress, we’re the Los Angeles Rams. We play for the people in this community. The people in this community support us. This week will of course be another example of that. Hopefully a great refuge for people who have been through a lot of hard times.”
The Rams-Vikings Wild Card playoff game begins Monday, January 13th at 8:00 p.m. ET on ESPN at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
