The Moroccans Nabil al-Kharazi and Ayoub Allam each won first and third place during the 8th edition of the Qatara Prize for the recitation of the Holy Koran, as announced by the Katara Cultural Village Foundation in Doha.
Second place was attributed to Egyptian Mahmoud Kamal-Eddine, while the fourth and fifth places return to Mohamed Ali Faroughi (Afghanistan) and Ahmed Mohamed Ali Essiid (Egypt).
The Katara Prize, founded in 2017, aims to discover and promote talents for the recitation of the Holy Koran.
