Juventus found late goals from Khephren Thuram and Teun Koopmeiners to a 2-0 home win against Hellas Verona in Serie A to seal-a fifth victory in a row for the Thiago Motta side.
Juventus had 27 shots in a dominant representation, but struggled to find a way by goalkeeper Lorenzo Montipo, who produced a series of parades to refuse the giants.
But Thuram found a way past the heroic Verona goalkeeper in the 72nd minute and scored the lead in the 90th minute with a crushed shot with a deep shot from a narrow angle with a crispy shot.
Juventus is up to fourth in the overall ranking to 52 points, six OFF leaders Inter Milan and two over Lazio in fifth place. Verona is 14th, four points above the relegation zone.
In the meantime, the game in Spain was deported on Monday evening between Villarreal and Espanyol due to heavy rain.
The decision was made just a few moments before the start in Villarreal in Estadio de la Ceramica, with thousands of spectators already on site.
