King Charles’ appearance on the set of the film “No Time to Die” provoked a number of surprising reactions.
Ralph Fiennes revealed the “spectrum” of the cast and crew’s reactions to news of King Charles’ visit in 2019.
“The atmosphere changes when royalty visits a film set,” Fiennes said People magazine. “Even if they don’t literally button them up, there’s a little bit of internal buttoning up that could continue.”
“The royal family provokes a wide range of reactions,” he added. “People saying, ‘Oh, f—! The Prince of Wales is coming. What a pain.’ For other people, it’s like, “Have you seen him?” How is he?”

As is well known, “No Time to Die” was Daniel Craig’s fifth and final portrayal of James Bond. After playing the same fictional character for 15 years, Craig had “no plan whatsoever” for his next move.
“I thought, ‘Maybe I’ll never work again,'” he recently admitted The Hollywood Reporter.
Craig grew up wanting to play the beloved spy, but had no idea his dream would come true.
He compared the idea of one day playing Bond to portraying “Batman and Spider-Man, but you can’t play them all,” Craig said. “I wanted to be all of those people. But when I was actually acting, that didn’t cross my mind. I thought that would be the last thing that would ever happen to me.”

Although the next James Bond hasn’t been chosen yet, there have been many rumors fueled by fans. Idris Elba had been part of the conversation behind closed doors for some time, but was ultimately put off by the public reaction.
“…when you were asked to play James Bond, you thought, ‘Okay, you’ve kind of peaked,'” Elba said during an appearance on the “Smartless” podcast in 2023.
“Basically, it was a huge compliment that every corner of the world – except for some corners that we won’t talk about – was really happy about the idea of me being considered,” he added. “Those who weren’t happy with the idea found the whole thing disgusting and repugnant because it was about race. It was all about nonsense and I took the brunt of it.”
