Moroccan kickboxer Jamal Ben Seddik hit the Romania Cristian Ristea on Saturday evening in the semi -finals of Glory 99 to move into the second round of Glory’s “Last Man Starking” tournament.
After the fight, an emotional Ben Seddik spoke to his fans: “Thank God for this victory. Many thanks to all my brothers and sisters, especially in Morocco. It live Morocco, and if God protects his majesty to the king.”
The 33-year-old now meets with the French Algerian fighter Sofian Laïdofii, a match in which the competitors have to fight twice in one evening.
“I hope to see them all in June,” added Ben Seddik. “Especially Moroccans – it’s two fights in one night and I will need their support.”
Ben Seddik spoke about his next opponent and was free: “He is an experienced fighter who has proven itself. I’m looking forward to June.”
Ben Seddik, a regular candidate on an international kickbox circuits, remains one of the most famous athletes Morocco in sports.
The last man -standing tournament is a top -class heavyweight competition organized by Glory Kickboxing, one of the leading advertising campaigns in sports.
The format should test both skills and perseverance: the fighters have to compete in several fights on one evening, with the winners of the first round later the same night.
The tournament ends with Glory 100, which is planned for next June, and offers both financial rewards and potential progress in the direction of a World Cup.
