"I've never participated in Jamaica"

Gabby Thomas had an incredible year in 2024 and won three Olympic gold medals. Now that she is preparing for the new season, the American made a surprising revelation when she discussed Michael Johnson’s Grand Slam Track about the event locations.

Johnson, who was seen as one of the greatest sprinter of all time, started GST last year, a unique league that has league. The league will contain four meetings, with the first competition in Kingston, Jamaica, taking place, followed by meetings in Los Angeles, Miami and Philadelphia.

Gabby Thomas Committed to Grand Slam Track at the end of last year and recently shortened the locations of the league. In an Instagram video she revealed that she was most excited to take part in Jamaica after she had never driven there.

“I’m really looking forward to Kingston. I am very excited. I have never participated in Jamaica. “

She then entered the remaining three locations and said:

“(Second) Miami because I love Miami. (Then) Philly, because I love Franklin Field, it is very important to me, there I ran on the college, and then we have La. La is cool. “

Gabby Thomas signed with Michael Johnson’s Grand Slam Track in November 2024. The American made her excitement for the league clear through a press release and emphasized her enthusiasm to compete against the best sprinter.

“I am very happy to join Grand Slam Track and work with Michael Johnson to give our sport the platform it deserves. When I went from the Olympic Games, I would like to continue to test myself and compete against the fastest women in the world at the highest level. Grand Slam Track gives us this opportunity in 2025. ”

Thomas praised Johnson’s vision and said:

“Michael’s vision is incredibly exciting and I can’t wait to give the millions of track fans all over the world more chances to watch us compete. I look forward to seeing all of our fans at the four slams next year. “

Thomas will probably take part in the SHORT SPRINT Event Group at the GST, in which the 100 m and 200 m races are equipped. Outside of Gabby Thomas, there are other stars who have signed at Grand Slam Track Sydney McLaughlin-LevronPresent Fred KerleyKenny Bednarek, Cole stool and more.

The first meeting of the Grand Slam route is scheduled to take place between April 4 and 6 April in the National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica. The event is streamed live on Peacock, with a program available on the CW.
