Iran launches deadly missile attacks on Israel and Gulf states as war heats up


The UAE said on Wednesday that its air defense forces intercepted 13 ballistic missiles and 27 drones fired by Iran.

The Defense Ministry said its air defenses had intercepted 1,699 drones, 327 ballistic missiles and 15 cruise missiles since the start of the Iran war.

“These attacks resulted in the deaths of two members of the UAE Armed Forces carrying out their national duty and six civilians of Pakistani, Nepali, Bangladeshi and Palestinian nationalities,” it said in a statement.

“In addition, 158 people of various nationalities – including Emiratis, Egyptians, Sudanese, Ethiopians, Filipinos, Pakistanis, Iranians, Indians, Bangladeshis, Sri Lankans, Azerbaijanis, Yemenis, Ugandans, Eritreans, Lebanese, Afghans, Bahrainis, Comoros, Turks, Iraqis, Nigerians, Omani, Jordanians, Palestinians, Ghanaians, Indonesians, Swedes and others suffered Tunisians – minor to severe injuries,” it continues.
