The International University of Rabat (UIR) and Bituma SA opened the “MCS Bitumen” driver on Tuesday, an innovative solution that is devoted to heating 40 toning bitumen storage. The demonstrator you have created is currently installed on the Bituma site in Aïn Atiq, where it is now fully functional. It uses high -energy solar zon center to maintain the bitumen at a temperature of 150 ° C, which enables the annual heating oil consumption to reduce by 15%. Advanced persons also contribute to a decrease of 200 tons of CO₂ per year, which supports the energy transition targets of Morocco.
Innovation comes from a F&E project that is supported by the IRESE Meise Agention as part of Innotherms/Innoviomass for projects. It was also the subject of a feasibility study that was carried out for a scale promotion of 3,000 tons and opened the way to a broader integration of renewable energies into the bitumen sector.
