Infrastructure: 12.5 mmdh for new motorway projects

On Friday in Rabat, two Memoranda of Understanding were signed to strengthen the kingdom’s motorway infrastructure. The first refers to an investment program of 12.5 billion dirhams (MMDH) for the implementation of three strategic projects: the Autobahn Continental Rabat-Casablanca, the Tit Mellil-Berlechid motorway and the transformation of the nodes of Ain Harrouda and Sidi Maarouf.

This program, which is planned for the period 2025-2032, aims to improve the accessibility for the 2030 World Cup for the Large Casablanca Stadium, to rationalize traffic on the Rabat-Casablanca axis and strengthen regional connectivity. The total financing of 16 MMDH is mobilized according to a sustainable approach that maintains the stability of ADM.

The second protocol provides for the mobilization of 1.2 MMDH to compensate the owners, which are compensated by the expropriation of the country to start the work of the Continental Rabat-Casablanca motorway, which extends over 60 km with a budget of 6.5 mmdh.

These agreements were made by the Minister of Equipment and Water, Nizar Baraka, the minister responsible for the budget, Fouzi Lekjaa, General Director of the National Strategic Management Agency, Abdellatif Zaghnoun, General Director of ADM, Cherkaoui Eddeqaqi, and the CEO of the CDG, Khalid Safir, General Director of National Strategic Management Agency, signed.

Baraka emphasized that these projects that are inscribed in the Royal Vision would make traffic flow, strengthen the motorway network and improve the service of the large stadium in Casablanca.
