A number of devices for income-making projects were handed over to former prisoners during a ceremony in Inezgane-Aït Melloul on Friday.
This event is one of the initiatives to promote the socio -economic integration of former prisoners. The ceremony was also an opportunity to present the assessment of the Mohammed VI Foundation’s reintegration program for 2024.
In detail, the foundation offered 28,729 services in financial, administrative, legal, educational and health areas. Among the beneficiaries, 6,704 former prisoners have completed vocational training in 66 centers, and 228 people used the economic integration program, which supported 347 income generation projects.
In addition, 37 new projects were launched in 2025, and financial support from 982,716 dirhams was awarded to 29 women of former prisoners to help them start their projects.
Finally, former prisoners were transferred 17 additional projects with a total investment of more than 1.18 million DH to ensure sustainable reintegration.
