India: A Moroccan teacher has been honored at the Global Teacher Awards

Moroccan teacher Messaud Ariba shines at the Global Teacher Awards in New Delhi. The award was presented to him on Saturday in the Indian capital as part of the 2024 edition of this annual event, which celebrates excellence in education at the international level.

As a teacher of the Ibnou Aachir School Group, subordinate to the Taroudant Provincial Directorate, Mr. Ariba is the only representative of the Arab world and North Africa to be among the winners of this edition. At this event initiated by “AKS Education”, an education research company based in India, he stood out among thousands of applications from all over the world.

In a statement to MAP, Mr Ariba said he was honored and pleased to receive this award, which is the result of 25 years of work and commitment to education. He believed that this recognition was a deserving recognition of the remarkable efforts of the men and women committed to the development of the education sector in the Kingdom.

“Since 1998, I have been dedicated to improving learning, especially in mathematics, through a playful approach that introduces children to the concepts of this discipline,” he explained, specifying that his “Math Kids” project, which won an award at the event, is changing the playful teaching of mathematics in primary school and thus facilitates playful learning.
