Morocco’s energy bill was quantified to 8.53 billion icalo at the end of January 2025, whereby according to the exchange body, a decrease of 11.6% was recorded compared to the end of January 2024.
This withdrawal of energy imports mainly results from a decline in deliveries to diesel and fuel rings, which goes back to a decline in prices of 8.3%and a decline in the imported amounts of 19.4%.
With regard to the decline in energy bill, the decline in the imports of diesel and fuels (-26.1% to 3.67 billion DH) and oil gas and other hydrocarbons (-15.7% up to 1.63 billion DH) is also explained.
In addition, the total imports of goods rose by 3.4% for over a year and reached 59.84 billion DH.
