The Criminal Court in Paris sentenced Marine Le Pen to four years in prison on Monday, including two farms under electronic bracelets, for embezzlement of public funds in the case of European parliamentary assistants.
The head of the National Rally (marginal) parliamentary group in the National Assembly was also not entitled for a period of five years with immediate execution.
Marine Le Pen and eight of her Co -Ahnmacht were found guilty of having derived funds from the European Parliament by paying parliamentary assistants who actually worked for the distant party.
The court estimated financial damage to more than 4 million euros.
