A moving picture of a nine-year-old amputated from Gaza is the World Press photo of 2025 of the year. Mahmoud Ajjour lost both arms in an Israeli air raid. His portrait was recorded by the Palestinian photographer Samar Abu Elouf for the New York Times. Ajjour spoke to Al Jazeera about the reconstruction of his life and his dream to return home.
