“I want more – Ronaldo is still hungry for titles in Saudi Arabia.”
Cristiano Ronaldo recently celebrated his two-year milestone with Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, but expressed his desire to secure more titles.
The Portuguese superstar, who was named the Middle East’s Best Player of 2024 at the Globe Soccer Awards, has compiled a remarkable goal tally with 74 goals in 83 appearances since joining the club on a free transfer in January 2023.
Reflecting on his trip in Riyadh, Ronaldo, who turns 40 on February 5, shared his thoughts with the league’s official media channel.
He said: “I am happy and my family is happy. We have started a new life in this beautiful country. Life is good, football is good.
“Individually and collectively, we are still here; We’re still improving.”
Ronaldo has scored over 900 goals in his career and holds the men’s world record for most international goals. He also highlighted the progress the Saudi Pro League has made since his arrival.
“For me it is an honor that the league is growing and many star players are coming to make the league even better and more competitive,” said Ronaldo.

“Being the first – shall we say a star – to come here is an honor, but I look forward to the league continuing to improve over the next five to 10 years. Not just the first teams, but also the academies.
“Not only for the future of the Saudis (players) and the league, but also for the country and competition with other leagues, that is my dream. And that’s what I’m going to try to do, help the country and the league get to that level and stay at that level.
“People look to Cristiano as a role model, not just on the pitch but off the pitch too.”
Since joining Al Nassr, Ronaldo has helped the team win the Arab Club Champions Cup in 2023.
Although the club failed to win any more silver medals last season, they made history by scoring a record 35 goals in their first full season in the Saudi Pro League.
Reflecting on his achievements, Ronaldo added: “You know, when you win titles things get easier and to have the privilege of winning my first trophy in my first year here was great.”
“But I want more. I will continue to push and help my team Al Nassr win titles. I believe this year will be a good year for Al Nassr.
“It’s hard to keep up with teams like Al Hilal and Al Ittihad, but we’re still there, keep pushing and fighting. Football is like that; You have good moments and bad moments, but for me the most important thing is to be professional, push hard, respect the club, respect its contract and believe that things will change – so that Al Nassr can try to win more titles.
“The (AFC) Champions League is something I want to win for the club, but the most important thing is to keep pushing and be professional.”
